Step 1: Decide How to Register

You can register as an individual or through a trust.

Registering as an Individual

• Buy your suppressor or other NFA item.
• Create an ATF E-Forms account.
• Get digital passport photos (Wild Zebra can take them!).
• Complete and submit ATF Form 4 online.
• Pay $0 tax stamp fee to the ATF.

Registering with a Trust (recommended for flexibility)

• Create or use an existing trust (make a digital copy).
• Buy your suppressor or other NFA item.
• Create an ATF E-Forms account.
• Get passport photos for all responsible persons.
• Obtain digital fingerprints for all responsible persons.
• Complete ATF Form 5320.23 for each person on the trust.
• Fill out ATF Form 4 online and submit the $0 tax stamp fee.
